Missing Daddy... and starting to talk

Well - it's been a long time since I posted. In part, because I'm lazy, but mostly 'cuz I'm tired. Phil's been away in Australia doing some fun, exciting and necessary field work, but we miss him terribly and will be very happy when he gets home next week. In the meantime, we've had our friends Tim and Dar and their two kids here to help out. Libby and Alex have really been intrigued by the bigger kids.

They are getting more and more words. Sometimes they are pretty unintelligible, but I know what they mean, so I count them as words. :D
They both know how to say 'choo choo' (as in a train), but it comes out 'too too'. Libby will also using the correct tone for "there she is" (as in "where's Libby? There she is!"), but the words are a bit garbled. Alex says 'ta ta' for both "thank you" and "please". Sometimes Libby says "oh dear". And Alex definitely says "uh oh".

Both are walking all over the place - they love to walk into their room at the daycare, they feel like such big kids.

Here are some fun pics.

Alex is very happy eating his apple and sitting on the table!

"Ha - you're pinned Mummy!!!"

See all my fabulous hair! Finally!!!!

What a sweet face.

Uncle Paul and Auntie Sam came to visit and we had lots of fun!!!

The next two pictures really show off their eye color well.

Libby on her "yoga" ball. (really, it's Alex's favourite ball, he was a bit concerned about her sitting on it so cavalierly)

"Look at me climb"

"Wait ..... I can go higher!"

Vacations and Holidays

Here are a few pictures from the last few days of summer plus some from our vacation/holiday to the beach in Wales. A lot of sand was eaten. The kids LOVED the beach. Now trying to readjust to work and getting ready for autumn. More words later.
