21 months old today
Well - we've reached 21 months today, which means in 3 months we'll have 2 year olds. Whee!!! I have no stats to report, 'cuz we don't have another appt with the doctor until they are 2. I do know that they weigh a lot (around 30 lbs each) and are growing before our very eyes. Lots of words from both and both say 'bye-bye choo choo" or "bye bye airplane" as sentences. Libby comes out with "no, boo boo" sometimes. We've had a busy few weeks since the last post. First, we survived our second transatlantic flight with the kids. The last time we did it was when they were 6 months old. The kids did very well on both flights. They were both very excited about the "awrpwanes" and the beep-beeps (cars) and choo-choos (airplanes on the ground). They also enjoyed Houston. We (Phil and I) went for the 40th Annual Lunar and Planetary Science Conference. The kids got to play with the Poppa and Noonoo (Grandpa and Grandma), Uncle D, Auntie M, and cousins G and T. They had lots of fun.
We learned a lot about going to a conference with children (there were lots of other kids there too). Hopefully there will be a more organized type of conference daycare in the future, so all the kids can play together.
We got back and then had a full week of work with lots of deadlines to be met, but this week we've been off. The kids have Easter break. It's been relatively nice so we've been getting to the park across the street. Today has been rainy, but hoping tomorrow will be better. We're meeting up with some friends from the US and trying an outing to the British Museum to see the mummies and the Rosetta stone and the sarcophagus of Alexander the Great (Alex's namesake).
Here are some pictures from the last few weeks (thanks to Poppa for most of the pictures).
