Team Blandix

Since the last post, we've been to Italy and back. We needed a week to recover from the flight home (this is where traveling with babies breaks down - when the flights are cancelled and re-routed so that you get home at midnight instead of 7:30pm). Overall the babies did very well with the change in routine. The rest of the trip was fantastic. Siena was lovely. We even took the scenic route home through Rome. Pictures from Italy are a bit sparse because there was too much to do. The first couple of pics are from the trip. We went out for a walk and Alex got to ride on Daddy's shoulders for that trip. On that walk, Libby had an encounter with a big dog. She was riding in the stroller and the dog came and stuck his nose in her face. She was a bit surprised by that so she got to ride in mummy's arms for the rest of the walk. By the end, though, she was reaching out to pet another of the dogs that was around, so I don't think she's been traumatized. She definitely wasn't overly impressed by the horses, whereas Alex didn't seem to mind them. They both kept a keen eye on the chickens that were roaming about. They also took after a cat at one point. The cat did well and stayed one or two steps ahead of the awesome twosome. It's only a matter of time before they figure out how to work together on purpose, rather than the accidental happenstances that occur now.

Libby now likes to get into the seat of the car, rather than sit on it. This is the best way to climb higher (see video below).

Alex has discovered that he can look through the bottom of the stacking bowls, as demonstrated here. Looks a bit scary, but he was actually giggling behind the bowl.
