Another week

Another week has blown by. Libby rolled over and I missed it. Phil saw it. I've been trying ever since to get her to do it again, but so far, no luck. Both babies are content to stand with a little bit of help and Alex is getting to the point where he might be able to sit on his own. He's got a buddha quality to sitting, but still topples over when his head drags him down.

A couple of weeks ago we switched from the pack-n-play that they'd been sleeping in from when we got them home to a new cot/crib bed. We started with them head to head, but that didn't work when they wriggled into each other and woke up. The picture shows the configuration that seems to work best at the moment. Because of the wriggling, we'll likely be getting a second cot/crib when we move to our new flat in December.

We had a great weekend. Grandad Frank and Auntie Sam came to visit us on Sunday. It was sooo lovely to see them. We're really looking forward to our next visit, which will be in about a month. We'll go up to see them for a couple of weeks.

Alex is doing his best Hobbit impersonation in the background. There is a hobbit name generator (http://www.chriswetherell.com/hobbit/) online. Alex's hobbit name is Bulbo Chubb - he's really living up to the name in this picture. Libby's hobbit name is Peony Chubb.
